“As an IBCLC I want to help and empower families to feed their babies in the way they choose to.”
I have been an IBCLC for 7 years, and have grown a successful private practice, serving families not only locally, but across the world.
Along with being an IBCLC, I am a trained and qualified Norland Nanny so I have the highest quality training in working with babies, children and their families, and therefore a unique set of skills. This has given me a solid basis to develop my own business working in the field of infant feeding support, and lactation, something I feel so privileged to be able to do. I love my job!
After having my first baby, I discovered why feeding support matters so very much, and how skilled, qualified support can be challenging to access. I spent hours googling and searching for ways I could make breastfeeding work for my baby and me.
I strive to be the support to families, that I so needed at that time.
I went on to volunteer as a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter for nearly 4 years, before becoming a Voluntary Breastfeeding Counsellor for an International Breastfeeding charity.
After completing the educational (14 health science subjects, and 90 hours of breastfeeding education) and clinical hours (1000 hours of practical experience) requirements I was accepted to sit the IBCLC exam, which I sat in Autumn 2018, and in December 2018 I was thrilled to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. This means I am trained to have the highest level of breastfeeding education and awareness to support families, whether that is through antenatal education, or if things are tricky or more complicated once baby has arrived.
As is necessary for an IBCLC, I have to recertify every after 5 years in Practise, and have to demonstrate a commitment to keeping my clinical knowledge up to date, and evidence based.
I live in Canterbury, Kent with my husband and 2 children. I’m a member of LCGB and also a pump agent for Ardo.
I support families around the world with feeding their babies through in person/online/phone and follow up Whatsapp support.
Here are a few of my qualifications that demonstrate, alongside my IBCLC qualification, my passion for providing the most holistic and evidence based practice I can, and my commitment to maintaining a high level of training and education.

IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is the highest level qualification in infant feeding.
It’s a qualification that stands in it’s own right, not every healthcare professional you’ll meet as parents, is trained to this level, or has this degree of feeding specialism.
Came to Hannah desperate for advice via video call after spending a lot of money/ time with no luck as my son (who was 4 months at the time) was heavily reliant on top ups, struggling to breastfeed and a lot of terrible advice from other people! She gave great advice and a plan to reduce top ups gradually and get back to breastfeeding which massively reduced my anxiety in doing so. Baby is doing well and is on very little top ups with the aim to stop them. Hannah continued to answer any questions I had even past the two weeks. I’d definitely come back to her if I had another baby and wish I found her sooner!
I contacted Hannah late one night feeling pretty desperate on my third bout of mastitis since I'd had my baby 12 weeks ago. She immediately responded giving me some advice for that evening and booked me an online consultation for the next morning, I couldn't believe she responded so quickly. I've had problems with getting a good latch since the beginning and was in so much pain with nipple trauma I couldn't bare to feed on one side. I thought we would have to stop nursing and was feeling pretty devastated. Hannah was lovely, so kind and calm and quickly got me feeding my baby on the the sore breast very quickly and surprisingly with far less discomfort. She also gave me lots of advice about managing the mastitis, nipple damage and feeding intervals, a lot of which was new to me and contrary to other advice I've been given. I honestly wish I had contacted her earlier in our breastfeeding journey and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others. She's so knowledgeable, kind and calm. I feel like a weight has been lifted. Thank you Hannah!
Hannah responded to my enquiry immediately and came for an in person visit the very next day to help with feeding my newborn. She was patient, supportive and gave us all the tools we needed to get breastfeeding on track. I would 100% recommendation Hannah to anyone needing feeding support! Thank you Hannah!
It was a pleasure and very reassuring working with Hannah to resolve a feeding issue we were having. She responded to my message quickly and offered a call the very next day. I was immediately at ease speaking to Hannah and appreciated her thoughtful approach to figuring out the problem. She is clearly very knowledgeable and I would recommend her support to anyone needing some extra help with feeding.
I can’t thank Hannah enough for her support with breastfeeding my daughter. I thought that due to her tongue tie and early arrival, breastfeeding would be unachievable for us, however within the hour of Hannah arriving at my home, she had supported us to find a position that allowed us to be comfortable with a strong latch and we have been breastfeeding ever since! Hannah was warm, friendly and encouraging and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is on their breastfeeding journey that is having difficulties or just needs some support. Thank you so much Hannah!
I contacted Hannah on the recommendation of a friend who had used Hannah's support during her feeding journey. My issue was pumping related, specifically poor fitted flange sizing which had resulted in some pretty nasty nipple trauma. I had a 1 hour WhatsApp video call with Hannah and left the call with completely new flange sizing for 2 different pumps I own (who knew, different pumps may require different sizes!) and some really helpful knowledge on healing protocols. As an extra bonus, Hannah shared some tips on improving my 7 month old babies latch, specifically the 'scissor technique' which to my surprise has enabled me to latch my baby more comfortably than I have in our entire feeding journey. Hannah has a calm, non judgmental and incredibly supportive aura that every new parent could benefit from. Thank you so much!
Hannah was incredible. She promptly responded to my query and even communicated over the weekend. I had issues with feeding following triple feeding and wanted to transition to exclusive breastfeeding. She was so helpful and knowledgeable, and provided the information I needed to feel confident. We are now exclusively breastfeeding two weeks after Hannah’s visit, and my baby is gaining weight. Would 100% recommend!
Hannah was able to provide the reassurance and confidence I needed in the early days of breast feeding. She was so helpful with getting my baby to improve her latch to make feeding more comfortable. Our appointment didn’t ever feel rushed and she really takes the time to get to know you, your baby, and your personal experience. I’ve contacted her a couple of times since with questions and she’s always very quick to reply. It’s so nice to know she is there with me on this journey!
Hannah was SUPER helpful during our consultation. My baby is a week old and we were struggling with breast feeding after a tongue tie release. Hannah calmly helped me try different positions and ways to feed my baby until we found one that worked for us. She gave us lots of encouragement and was so knowledgeable and offers support after the consultation too. I would recommend to anyone struggling with their feeding journey! Thanks Hannah!!
I highly recommend Hannah if you are looking for feeding support! I had a difficult breastfeeding experience with my firstborn, where I wasn’t ever successful in getting him to latch and ended up feeding him expressed bottles. When I found out I was pregnant again I knew that I needed more support. My goal was to be able to feed exclusively with shields with the intention of feeding without them later down the line.
Hannah’s reviews online were amazing and her Instagram page showed her passion for supporting women, so I got in touch and we arranged a video call to discuss a plan for the first couple of days if the baby didn’t latch. She was really knowledgeable and I felt confident in getting my milk supply going. She was really flexible and came to visit us at home the morning after getting home from the hospital with only a day’s notice! We tried using shields and Hannah immediately reassured me that baby was sucking and swallowing properly. She showed me a few positions I could use and answered my many questions!
It’s fantastic that Hannah stays in contact through WhatsApp for two weeks if you require; I certainly had lots more questions and she was really reassuring in her replies. She also checked in on me so I felt she was genuinely interested in my success and ready to support where needed.
I have no doubt that she will be able to support me again when the time is right to try and feed without shields. Thank you so much, Hannah!
